The Kick-off meeting was held on February 25th, 2021. On this occasion project partners, namely Science and Research Centre Koper (Slovenia), Primorska technology Park (Slovenia), Alma Mater Studiorum – University of Bologna (Italy), Municipality of Brindisi (Italy), City of Osijek (Croatia), Hellenic Open University (Greece), Regional Development Agency Srem (Serbia) and Development Agency of the Una-Sana Canton (Bosna and Herzegovina), gathered online due to health restrictions.
The meeting convened, besides 8 project partners, also the associated partners as well as representatives of ADRION Joint Secretariat.
After the Joint Secretariat’s presentation of primary information for the ADRION programme, the Project leader, Science and research Centre Koper, presented the overview of the REInSER project. Work packages leaders, Alma Mater Studiorum – University of Bologna, Hellenic Open University, Science and Research Centre Koper and City of Osijek presented the specifics of the respective Work Packages, namely Methodological framework, assessment of the current situation and networking, Best practices transfer and pilot action development, Development of innovative social strategy, action plan and transnational network and Communication.
The REInSER consortium highlighted some of the key challenges and goals that the REInSER project is facing, such as societal change with special attention given to migration and asylum procedures in project partners’ states. The main objective of REInSER is to improve the economic, and consequently wider, integration of refugees and asylum seekers in host societies of ADRION programme area by using approaches of social economy and in particular social entrepreneurship by creating an innovative transnational cooperation network, scouting and exchange of best practices, pilot action development, and, finally, by preparing holistic transnational strategy and action plan for successful integration of refugees in host societies’ economies. The 2.019,200 € worth project will last 2 years conclude in January 2023.
